Welcome to you, reader of this pages surfing from abroad. We are the Dutch Society of Ornithologists. It is our aim to exchange all kinds of information on birds in a rather small group. Anyone who has a certain knowledge of birds and bird areas is welcome to join our group. We don't want to be a society of many members. We like to know each other and even to pay attention, if someone is not able to come any longer. We have two meetings every year. One in March and one in November. They are in Utrecht. We have two weekends. In spring somewhere in the country. In autumn at Texel. We sometimes have a special. For instance you are coming to Holland. You like to tell something on birds in your country. Be our guest. We try to help in searching for accommodation and for guides in Holland to watch birds.
Two Australians from Canberra: Christine and Geoff. I was in The Netherlands in august 2010 a birding pal. They invited me and my wife to come to Canberra after we had our trip in and around Perth. We did and were very happy there. King Parrots at the feeder, that's really marvellous. Thanks.
